From Virginia take I-77 S to exit 82 for NC-67 toward Elkin. Cross the Yadkin River to arrive in downtown Elkin. For a scenic route take the Blue Ridge Parkway south to exit US 21 S near Sparta which winds down the mountain into downtown Elkin.

From Tennessee take I-40 through the Pigeon River Gorge into NC and merge into I-77 North to Exit 82 (NC-67). 

From South Carolina take I-77 North to Exit 82 for NC-67 toward Elkin. Cross the Yadkin River to arrive in downtown Elkin.
